Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

In today’s world, trauma is not new. However, talking about it is and doing so is quickly becoming normal. Thank goodness! Though the normalization of “trauma talk” will benefit generations to come, it does not make doing so any easier for the trailblazing generation which is making it happen. As part of this generation, I understand how difficult realizing your trauma as trauma can be and I will not force the immediate dealing with it upon you.

How I can Help:

I will help you process trauma as it comes up in your daily life and work with you to plan the best path of healing. Once that path is established, we will walk together at your pace.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART):

While traditional talk therapy can be effective in treating trauma and may be the preferred method for some, others may prefer to process through trauma a bit quicker. To assist with the desensitization of intrusive, unwanted, and difficult memories, I offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy. During these sessions, I will guide you through a series of rapid eye movements which allow your conscious and subconscious mind to work together in alleviating the emotional pain associated with those memories. Throughout our exploration of your own traumatic experiences, we will determine if ART may be a good fit for you. Below, I have included a Ted Talk presented by Laney Rosenzweig, the founder of Accelerated Resolution Therapy, for greater understanding.
